Specifications Description

Different ways to see if the surface is level

1. Use a Round Object

One of the easiest ways to level a surface without a level is by using a round object such as a ball. Now, do keep in mind that this method only works for horizontal surfaces and not vertical surfaces. For this leveling method, all you have to do is to place a round ball on top of the horizontal object being leveled.

2. Use a Square

Whereas the above method was for leveling a horizontal surface, this method can be used to level both horizontal and vertical surfaces. This method is a little bit special because if you are to level a horizontal surface using a square then you need to have a vertical surface that is already plumb. On that same note, if you are going to plumb a vertical surface then you need to have a horizontal surface that is already leveled. This is because squares measure 90-degree angles.

3. Measure from a Reference Point

If you need to level something like a cabinet or drawer, and you know that the floor underneath is level, then all you have to do is measure both sides of the item being leveled from the floor. If one side of the cabinet is an inch higher than the other, then you know that it’s not leveled.
