These machines can do a multitude of tasks all based on what application you need; be it cutting grinding, deburring, finishing, polishing, or carving.
What you should pay attention to
· With any powerful tool there will always be a need for safety so we recommend paying attention to the following:
· Always wear suitable gloves: Provides a more secure grip over the machine and prevents damage caused by sparks.
· Poly-carbonate glasses: The chemical compound of Poly-carbonate glasses is lighter and stronger than your standard plastic face shield with higher impact resistance ratings.
· DISCS EXPIRE: Yes, they do. Always check the date stamped on the inner bore of your disc to ensure that your disc has not been exposed to moisture which inevitably compromises the structural integrity of the disc.
· Angle Guard: Guards were made to deviate sparks and protect the operator in case a disc explodes.
· Angle Deviation: When cutting material always maintain the same cutting angle, any deviation side to side can result in the side wall of the disc catching and potentially leaving your disc faulty.
· Remove the grinder from the workpiece before switching off the grinder.
· Always unplug the machine when changing the disc.
